Maxi Dresses in the Fall!

27 Sep

I know what you’re all going to say. But, save it. Maxi dresses are not only for the summer!

And I am about to tell you exactly how you can save yourself some money by recycling your maxi dress that you bought to wear only during the summer. I’ve put together some looks that I think would look absolutely fabulous during the fall, and you can save yourself some by using what’s already in your closet. And for you shopaholic like me, who want to go and splurge most of these items in my looks I’ve created, are from forever21. Similar looks can be found at H&M, Macy’s, etc. Or you can even check out some of your local neighborhood retailers.

Shoe Therapy

I’ve found a prescription for all you Shoe-A-Holics out there. I went on a mission to find you the best deals for heels, flats, boots and more. I was never a big fan of heels being that I’m a bit tall and would look super tall with heels on. However, I over came that fear and started wearing heels any and everywhere. Since then I’ve been in loved with heels, especially those freakishly high and colorful ones. But they’re so expensiveeeeeeeee!

Well, not anymore. I’m a big fan of online shopping and deals to the point where I think it has become an addiction. That addiction led me to the discovery of some of the most affordable and fashionable online spots to purchase heels. These sites have great deals on some of the cutest shoes and a wide variety as well.

Check out some of my favorite picks.

Toms $40 from Shoegasm

Jessica Simpson $89.95 from Shoegasm

Anne Michelle Dynamite 37 taupe cutout peep toe $37 from Lulu’s

GC Shoes Chif brown lace-up/short $79 from Lulu’s

 GoMax Agatha 12 black lace-up $69 from Lulu’s

My number one website pick is Shoedazzle . Not only because of the deals but simply because you can sign up and customized you style of shoes and searching will be so much easier.

Don’t forget to check out these sites. 😉

Do you know a hot spot with great shoes and great prices???? I would love to know, so I can share with my readers.

WHAT DOES THIS STAND FOR, LIKE REALLY?

10 Mar

Just in case you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about. We’ll “duh”, I can only be talking about FASHION. I know myself and many of you out there may think that you know what Fashion is and what it stands for, and maybe you do but hey guess what?

Fashion doesn’t have just one meaning. It indefinable, indescribable, and has more than one meaning. Fashion is whatever you want it to be and it makes you your own person. Fashion defines your individually and style. My favorite line of all time  is “Fashion is not a luxury”, it’s really not. The price of your clothing doesn’t define what fashion is and it sure doesn’t define you or your style.

Be Fashionable, Save lives

29 Sep

Ever heard someone tell you, “Why are you buying that you don’t need it” or “why waste your money don’t buy that “or even this one “you’re a shopaholic.” Well now when someone calls you a shopaholic, you can respond “I’m shopping for a cause.” Some people might not take fashion as serious as others. I call those people “anti-fashionistas”. They may think and believe fashion is all about being materialistic, and just over the top. But many fashion icons out in the world are starting to not just be fashionable but be fashionable for a cause.

Fashion Icons are starting to take that step forward to support communities that support them. And you can become a part of this phenomenon. Department stores, retail stores, Naomi Campbell, Betsey Johnson and Blake Mycoskie, just to name a few are some of those people and companies. Each of these icons and companies has taken that step towards becoming an activist getting involved in the huge phenomena where fashion help save lives.

Let’s start with Blake Mycoskie, An American traveler who in 2006 became aware that there are many communities across the world that has children walking around without shoes to protect their feet. He then created TOMS Shoes, a company that will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need for every pair of shoes purchased. Since then TOMS SHOES has become a growing company providing over 11, 000 shoes to children across the world.

Then there’s Betsey Johnson, who is a breast cancer survivor, and has since then become an activist for the awareness against cancer. Over the years Betsey Johnson has supported and donated to charities and foundations that help with the fight against cancer. Betsey Johnson has teamed up with LUNGevity, a foundation founded by seven Chicago lung cancer survivors to increase funding for lung cancer research, by creating a limited edition t-shirt in support of lung cancer awareness. All of the profits made from the t-shirt sales will go the LUNGevity foundation.

Then there’s Khol’s Department Stores that created a new line of products that supports women health. Vera Wang did the first collection, called Simply Vera Vera Wang and 100% of the profits will go to support the fight against breast cancer. There’s a wide selection of products that includes apparel, accessories, jewelry and home goods and all items are available for under $10.

Doesn’t this just make you want to go out and shop knowing that you can save a life?

So if you’re going to be a shopaholic or just want to help save a life then shop for a cause. Below are the links to help support each of the causes I’ve mentioned above.
