“C’mon we’re just chilling!”

Yes, I am aware that the headline “C’mon we’re just chilling!” is totally whack. But hey, I tried and that the best I could have came up with. So don’t judge me. Anyways, moving on.

So it’s Tuesday and on Tuesdays at SPC should really be called “Bum-Day”.

Simply because students on campus don’t get dressed up in their best outfits. Most os them are tired, exhausted or just upset that they have to be up to go to a class and sit for over an hour. So I guess that reflects in the way they dress, even myself.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays everyone has on their best and the “Quad” is like runway because that’s the hot spot where everyone is at the same time, so you don’t even think about repeating an outfit. Some one will point you out (LOL), even if you don’t notice.

One of my favorite quotes by Alexander Wang says “Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress on their days off is most intriguing.” So despite whatever you wear on the popular days like Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays , IT DON’T MATTER!!!!!!!!!! If you can get dressed up in sweats, oversize t-shirts, sports sneakers, or a cap and look absolutely stunning, then congratulations, you’re a fashionista, and should be proud. That’s a look that cannot be pulled off by many. So kudos to you.

While some of us might think it’s not important to get dressed up on Tuesdays. This group of twin, showed us different. Presentation is important to these girls, and they always leave their dorm room looking stylish.

OMG! Betsey Johnson did a split at NYFW?

Fashion Week and Betsey Johnson are two of he most talked about things when it’s fashion week in New York and Betsey Johnson hits the runway. So it’s only right that I keep you guys updated on the hottest and most spontaneous fashion show during fashion week. Betsey Johnson showcased her Spring 2012 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this past Monday in NYC. She got the party started as usual for her fashion show finale. This time it wasn’t just a cart-wheel. Betsey Johnson did a split. Yes, you heard right. This 69-year-old cancer survivor did a split at and did it well causing her audience, who are some of her biggest supporters to cheer the roof off.

I am one of Betsey Johnson biggest fan and supporters. She continues to be one of my favorite fashion designer, icon and role model. She continues to win over the hearts of many with her designs, collections and her support for awareness against breast cancer.

Hey! It’s Beyonce and “Baby B”

As we all know it’s Fashion Week in New York and the hottest, most stylist celebrities and fashionistas are stepping out so see what this season has in store. Among the A lister’s who stepped out this week, Beyonce, Little Sis Solange and “Baby B” a.k.a Beyonce baby bump made a fashionable appearance to J. Crew Spring 2012 Fashion Show. I must say Beyonce look amazing in her gliztly maternity wear and Solange looks very stylist and trendy as well. Recently at the MTV Video Music Awards spilled the news to the world about her pregnancy. Since then the news has been soaring the pages of blogs, websites, etc. However, Beyonce continue to top the charts in the music industry with her most recent debut album “4” with chart top hits. I’m such a big fan of Beyonce and I will testify to the fact that the album is terrific, amazing, great, and any other words I can find to describe how assume Beyonce’s new album is. Usually there’s at least one song that is my least favorite but not on this album. I enjoy listening to every song on the album and on repeat. My top favorites are “Love on Top”, “I Care”, and “1+1”.

“Oh No, What is Nicki Minaj Wearing?”

“Um, she looks amazing” is definitely not what you would usually hear people say about Young Money’s hottest female rapper Nicki Minaj. You would probably hear “Woah, she looks outrageous.” Despite how outrageous you may think Nicki Minaj looks, you have to admit that whatever she has on, crazy pants, various hair colors, she wears it well and looks amazing. Besides isn’t that what fashion is all about? Standing out from the norm and getting as creative and freakishly stylish as you possibly can. If so, Nicki Minaj does it well.

I must admit I was never a big fan of Nicki Minaj, but she stole my attention and eventually my heart with her unique lyrics and fashion statements.

This South side Jamaica,Queens Rapper Nicki Minaj continues to win the support of fans worldwide since the release of her first single “Massive Attack” and her BET Award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. Since then Nicki Minaj has collaborated with some of the music industry hottest artists, like Rihanna, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Diddy, etc, just to name a few.

I will definitely remember the spontaneous moments me and my roommates had blasting her album “Pink Friday” and pretending to be Barbie’s with our Pink Friday lipstick on and diva attitudes. Nicki Minaj is definitely doing her thing in the music industry, Kudos to her.

NEW SEASON, REVAMPED CLOSET=SPRING!

Yep, it’s definitely that time to transitions from flurries to april showers and beyond ladies and gents because Spring is offcially here. And i’ve got everything you needs to be ready for this season all in one blog post.

No matter what your style is Spring is the season that requires the most creativity when it comes to your wardrobe.

Let’s start by packing away all those holiday looking sweaters and dark colors and unpacked everyting bright, from dresses to skirts, etc. Then set aside some shopping money, so after you go throught your closet and figure out what your going to keep for the spring you can splurge on new iems to bring those old items into a new light.  Along with your clothing don’t forget to check out your shoes and accessories as well. It always great to mix winter and summer shoes to make up your spring shoes collection and accessories are always a great way to add to your outfits.

The Sexiest Show Ever!

Adriana, Ale, Candice, Chanel, Erin, Lily, and Rosie rocked the runway at the 2010 Annual Victoria Secret Runway Show that will air on November 30 at 10pm on CBS. 

These angels filled the fantasy of many overly obsessed men who can never get enough of these ladies and the women who wish they were in these ladies shoes.

But let’s focus on one of my favorite angels, Chanel Iman. My apologies for my “groupie” moment that I’m about to have but what the heck I love Chanel Iman and she is totally my role model.  No I don’t wish I was a size 2 or wish that I had her life. I just admire her, simple because she is very talented, and there’s this gracefulness about her.

This 21 year old African American and half Korean model has taken over the cover of many of the hottest magazines locally and internationally and also ripping numerous numbers of runways  around the world.  So look out now because I don’t think she done making her mark in this industry.

Rihanna Releases New Album

I’m pretty sure by now if you’ve read my blog before you’re aware that I’m a big Rihanna fan and you’re probably wondering why I’m writing about her again. Well the truth is I just had to because this Fashionista released her fifth album, LOUD, featuring two of my favorite hits “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name? feat Drake”.  The album is also available to download on Amazon and iTunes. Rihanna is also nominated for an AMA  in the Soul/Rhythm  and Blues category for Favorite Female Artist.

So definitely tune into the 38th annual American Music Awards live on Sunday, November 21 at 8pm on ABC to catch a special performance by Rihanna.

“Rihanna..!-You’ve Got to Love Her”

I’ve been a big fan of Rihanna since her hit song “Pon De Replay”. However, since then she has evolved into a top favorite and fashionable icon not just for me but many girls out in the world.

Blessed with beauty, style and talent, Rihanna has been marketed as a fashion icon; gaining significance due to a series of highly publicized endorsement deals and being skillful at fitting into the latest style trends.

This singer-songwriter and R&B diva is known for her outrageous style and catchy song hooks. Some of my favorite and most played songs on my I-pod from Rihanna are “What’s my name”, “Only Girl”, “If it’s loving that you want”, “Take a bow” and the list goes on (LOL).

If you look closer in this picture, you will see Rihanna’s Spacelite Vintage ear-to-ear earrings.  It looks like a necklace from far away but when I actually zoomed in, I was stunned. Only this stylish, edgy diva can wear such out-of-this-  world jewelry and make it look hot! Like I said “you’ve got to love her”.
