American Society of Magazine Editors Announced

Yes, the 2011 National Magazine Awards  finalists were officially announced  this morning and of course Conde Nast stole the spotlight leading with 25 nominations, if that not amazing then I don’t know what is. Other runner ups were Time, Inc with nine and Hearst with six. Over 200 magazines submitted 1,673 entries, judged by 359 magazine journalists and journalism educators. All the winners will be revealed for the first-time during a dinner ceremony hosted by ASME on May 9.  So stayed tune fans.

Fashion, Cocktails, Celebrities = Fashion Week!!!!

As we all know it’s currently Fashion Week in NYC and the best of the best designers, celebrities and fashion A-listers were in attendance, including me. One of the many perks I get being an intern at Seventeen is front seat to some of the best fashion shows during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. My favorite show so far was Custo Barcelona Women’s and Men’s Fall Winter 2011 Collection, which took place this past Sunday at the Lincoln Center. There’s no one word to describe such collection. It was fabulous, sheik, and was filled with colors, prints, and a variety of fabrics. Not to mention the shoes were to die for. Sitting front row as the models walked pass felt like I was sitting in the sky watching the clouds float. (LOL) I know that description was a bit extreme but it was an amazing feeling and opportunity. Here are some exclusive pictures from the events ;-).
